A Prayer for Apalachee High School and Those Affected by This Tragedy

“Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the tragedy that happened at Apalachee High School last Wednesday.  We lift up the students, teachers, families and community affected by this  violence. Comfort those who mourn and wrap them in Your loving arms, giving them the strength to face each new day.

We pray for healing—physical, emotional and spiritual—for all who have been impacted. 

Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill the hearts of those who are anxious and afraid. Bring them solace in this time of deep sorrow.

Lord, we also ask for unity and understanding. 

In a world often divided by fear and hate, help us to come together with compassion and kindness. 

Lord,  please bring an end to the violence, and let Your peace reign over us. Guide us toward a future where our children can live and learn without fear.

May Your light shine through the darkness, and may we find hope in Your promise of peace. Guide us as we seek to bring Your love and healing to our communities and beyond.

In Your holy name, we pray.
